Pressed Coffee & Books opened its doors at 123 Mahantongo Street in December of 2018, becoming the first independently owned coffee shop and used bookstore in Schuylkill County.
Since then, Pressed has worked to become a space in Downtown Pottsville where people can hang out, enjoy a conversation, and connect with each other. We’re not just serving lattes, we’re serving the community.

Downtown Roasting launched with one goal in mind:
to provide quality, affordable, ethically sourced coffee to our people. We wanted specialty coffee that doesn’t take itself too seriously. We wanted specialty coffee that allowed us to expand our team while also supporting coffee growers
who are taking care of THEIR teams.
Roasted fresh every day at Pressed in Pottsville, Downtown Roasting has created a rotating menu of blends and single origin coffee offerings, all purchased directly from farmers that meet the highest of ethical standards.
